I grew up in Kalgoorlie before moving to Perth’s southern suburbs, where I finished school at Comet Bay College as the school’s first ever Head Girl.
My career began in the labour movement, standing alongside workers, young people and women in male-dominated industries to fight for fairness and respect at work.
I’ve since had the privilege of serving as WA Labor’s first female State Secretary, leading one of the most community-driven and successful campaigns in our state’s history.
Now, as a Senator for Western Australia, I’m focused on building good jobs, strong local industries and a fairer future for working Australians.
I live in Beeliar with my husband David and our young son William, and like many working parents, I’m passionate about creating a future where every family has the same opportunity to thrive.
